Dean Valerie Phillips

 

Passes Away

 

ASPA is saddened to share the news that Andrews University Dean Valerie Phillips passed away on December 21, 2011.  A memorial service for Dean Valerie Phillips will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012. The service will be held in the main sanctuary of Pioneer Memorial Church. Efforts are being made to provide live streaming of the service for those unable to attend. Confirmation of the live streaming and instructions for viewing will be shared as they become available.

ASPA is the international association for Seventh-day Adventist student personnel professionals. The purpose of the Adventist Student Personnel Association (ASPA) is to:

  • Promote the principles of Christian education with a primary emphasis on student development.
  • Nurture Christian growth in all dimensions of student development, strive toward ethical and professional excellence.
  • Provide methods and materials for professional development to members.
  • Serve as the voice of the association members in dealing with issues and trends in the student affairs profession.
